Don’t Fall Into These Traps If You Want Success
As a coach, I regularly deal with career professionals and small business owners saying they want to achieve a goal, but sometimes the problem isn’t a poor strategy but mindset issues or personality traits. There are a few types of boycotting behavior you must be careful to deal with first if you want success:

The Dreamer
The dreamer has big plans. They are delighted with themselves because new ideas keep coming and one seems more impressive than the other. They spend a lot of time in R&D or talking about ideas with their business partner, significant other, a close friend, or anyone who will listen. If you know a dreamer, you will see them forget one idea they spoke so highly of the previous week. It is very difficult to follow the one-sided conversation thread of a dreamer. Dreamers like to talk, but they don’t like to put in the work. They get bored and distracted easily.
The Solution? Stop them. Interrupt. Ask them to start a creative journal for “brain dumping”. Help them pick one idea and get them to commit to formulating a realistic plan to make it happen. Work with them on…
