Having a Job Just Isn’t Enough Anymore
Dear Friends,
Please don’t be only EMPLOYEES. It is the worst (and most dangerous) fate you could ever choose for yourselves and your loved ones. Over the past week, here are some stories by friends who made this mistake and are paying the price.
1. Friend 1 suffered severe anxiety and depression due to being terrorized at work by a psychotic manager. He quit and was unable to work for an entire year due to PTSD. Now he is in a better place in a contract role with a nice manager but still suffers and needs a psychologist to get over some of the horrible things the manager said and did to him. The worst part? The manager is still working at the old company!
2. Friend 2 was fired during an approved vacation after letting her manager know she had fallen at her hotel and was in the hospital with a concession and a busted arm. Despite having the doctor’s notes, her employer was cold and unforgiving, saying she wasn’t doing her job (crazy, right?). The worst part? The manager is also still working at the old company!
3. Friend 3 was suicidal because he was his family’s breadwinner and part of a massive layoff. He couldn’t bear to tell his wife since they just bought a bigger home about 6 months ago and now there is no way he can pay for it. He told me he feels like a total loser and would rather end his…
