You’ve worked so hard to set yourself up for success. You studied well and are proud of your academic achievements. You completed the right internships and worked with a career counselor to define your path. You prepared a professional resume, attended job fairs, and applied carefully to the right companies. Finally, you land a job offer in a company on your ‘list’. You are beyond excited. You prepare carefully for the big day — your first day at work. The day comes and a week goes by, then a month, then 6 months. The company is good and your work is ok but there is something wrong. You ignore your intuition. After all, this was a company on your list. Everyone tells you that you are lucky. Why don’t you ever feel excited on Monday?
