How to Avoid Getting Scammed Online by Sleazy Marketing Tactics
A beginner’s guide for the gullible and desperate to recognize the signs of a clever scam artist
As a marketer for twenty years, I know how human psychology works and how to use it…for good or for evil. I chose consciously to use my skill working with legitimate businesses that are trying to do good in the world.
Today I will expose to you some very popular dubious tactics you should avoid at all costs. Sadly, marketers invest ungodly amounts of money into ads and other means to get more views on their offers so the chances you will see these tactics used is almost certain every time you pop open your computer.
On one hand, I’ve got to say this: people who search up terms on Google like “how to get rich quick”, ‘how to make money fast”, or “how to become a millionaire” are looking to be scammed. But unlike the scam artists running ads on those keywords, I don’t think all deserve it. I know life is hard. Maybe you have a terrible boss, or you were just made redundant or your girlfriend is pregnant and for some reason, you are panicking about money. I get it. The last thing you need to add to your list of problems is to be broke and fooled.
