Disclaimer: If you live with others and share a bathroom, you may have to find the right time when you aren’t holding them up since you definitely don’t want to be in a rush. That would kill the whole point.
Everyone needs to try it.
Here is what I do:
Lock the bathroom door! Even if you are alone. Haven't you watched Hitchcock’s Psycho?
Climb into the shower
Turn on the water to just hot enough but not scalding
Close eyes
Stick face under the water stream
Wash hair, shave, whatever you do in there
Relax
The shower gets steamy by now
Dream
After a while, I enter a flow state where my creative mind opens and I come up with at least two or three amazing story or business-related ideas or personal revelations that I never seem to find except in the shower.
It isn’t all rainbows and flowers: I made some of the biggest decisions in my life in the shower too.
