The Conference for Serious Video Creators

First off, what is Vidsummit?

Vidsummit is a 2.5 day long conference each Fall in Los Angeles, CA, specifically for anyone serious about video content creation. Originally started by early Youtuber Derral Eves as an industry gathering, it is now in its’ seventh year, attracts top speakers who are true authorities on video, and seriously committed channel owners. Unlike Vidcon, Vidsummit is not a fan or groupie gathering but jam-packed with video and channel tips. And it goes beyond Youtube, with video and streaming experts from Twitch, Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin, to name a few.

Derral has also brought on two talented partners, Jimmy Donaldson and Shaun McBride. The conference is intentionally kept small and sells out quickly as many loyal attendees return year after year. If you attend once, you’ll see why.

Some of my first conclusions and takeaways:

-Derral Eves puts on one heck of a show! With only 1,500 attendees, the annual event has an intimate feel and offers top speakers and amazing networking opportunties. We are all here to learn and grow, minus the groupies.

-Thumbnails really do matter. Hire someone to create nice ones. Check out Amazing Custom…
