Please Stop Treating Your Personal Goals Like A Netflix Film

Personal convenience has made us too entitled to see things through until the end

We’ve become lazy. But it is not our fault. Companies have made everything just too darn catered to the individual, that making the least effort can cause eye rolling and discontentment. “You mean I have to click on something to open it?” Nah, too many steps! Why can’t you just do it for me?

We truly live in an on-demand, instant gratification, shiny object society. We can order furniture, food, or even a spouse right off the Internet. No wonder people lack the motivation to make an effort.

In my business coaching, I have received requests in complete seriousness by people asking me to “build them a business” complete with all materials, tools, and content because they didn’t want to invest time or brain power into having to think or do anything for it.

It comes as no surprise that the Personal Development and Learning & Development industries would be affected too.

People join multiple paid and free industry or personal development communities, then hop to and from one or the other.

People purchase courses they never finish, and many don’t even start.
