The 7-Figure Sales Tactics I Learned From A Cleaning Lady
That I found more valuable than some advice I’ve heard from MBA graduates
I learned more about Sales from a cleaning lady who spoke only basic English than from some 7-figure business owners.
Janet cleaned our house for 15 years. Crazy to say our business relationship outlasted some of my friendships, certainly most of my other business hires, and even…my marriage (ouch).
Janet had one simple rule: She worked only on referrals.
She did zero advertising, never agreed to work for strangers, and would not negotiate any terms.
She was always fully booked. There was even a waitlist of people who said they’d hire her on a moment’s notice should ever a spot become free.
Ironically, she was also the most expensive housekeeper I’d worked with. She wasn’t particularly friendly. Lastly, her English was basic at best, so we communicated mostly through Spanish.
So what was Janet’s secret to being booked out?
Janet made a smart decision many MBA graduates don’t even implement:
Janet focused on one well-off neighborhood where the houses start at 2 million and above and many Tech executives live.
