Mountain climbing is dangerous. So is business.
While business isn’t often as deadly as climbing a mountain, I do see many parallels.
In the documentary, ’14 Peaks’, mountaineer Nirmal Purja sets out to climb all 14 of the world’s highest peaks (over 8,000m in altitude) in only seven months. This never-before-accomplished feat sounds crazy. I won’t spoil the end but say that this true story is full of bravery, determination, and a bit of madness. I couldn’t help but see the parallels with entrepreneurship.

The Clarity Peak
The second peak in business is clarity, defined by knowing what to do, for whom, and with whom. This peak is not the most dangerous, yet the longest to climb. This peak has a lot of beautiful scenery, so you are constantly distracted. There are also many dead ends and false shortcuts.
