The Parallels of Owning a Cat and Having a Husband

Now that I adopted a kitten, I am noticing something odd: it is vaguely familiar. Here are some of the strange parallels I’ve noticed between cats and husbands:

1/ When you cook anything, they can’t stay away from the kitchen and keep coming in to sniff the air, lick their lips, and scan the parameters for anything ready to eat.

2/ They sprawl in the middle of the bed and lay on you until you push them off.

3/ They take up the best spot on the couch.

4/ They will eat anything you accidentally left out, especially if it isn’t meant for them.

5/ When they are young, they constantly want attention. When they are old, they want to be left alone.

6/ They are very territorial.

7/ They take long naps.

8/ They don’t talk much until you ignore them. Then they seek attention like crazy.

9/If you don’t let them out, they get fussy.

10/They both can pee outdoors.

11/They love to groom themselves.

12/ They think they are the king of the house and you just live there.

13/ If you don’t encourage some to exercise and control their diet, they become sedentary and gain…
