What It’s Like Having Covid-19
“Stay home” sounds really simple but it’s not that easy for a family affected by Covid-19.
Doctor says to have groceries delivered — all deliveries are backed up so it could be days but none of us have much appetite so we don’t care but we have a toddler who doesn’t seem sick and needs proper food.
Doctor says to call if you get a high temperature — we have no thermometer for each of us and deliveries are backed up for days so we can only guess it we have a fever. So far, luckily, I’ve only felt a mild fever but my problem is maybe even worse: I have shortness of breathe and pressure in my chest. Plus, I’m always really, really tired. Disclosure: I’m 43 so I’m still not high risk but I don’t take it lightly that my symptoms could worsen anytime.
Doctor says to wash our hands and disinfect often — not easy when we run out of soap and hand sanitizer and can’t get any delivered soon.
Doctor say to wear masks — we can’t find any since they are all sold out online. My uncle went to a pharmacy and they said to ask a doctor for some.
Doctor says to wash bedding and towels more often — we have no more laundry soap plus no dryer where we are staying (my family is old school).
